Terms of service.

Written acceptance of quotation will be taken as acceptance of the following terms and conditions.

Please ensure you have read and fully understand what is written below before paying your deposit and don't hesitate to contact us if anything is not clear to you or you have any further questions.

+ All costs provided exclude VAT unless otherwise stated or applicable and are valid for seven days from the date of the quotation. Quotations expire because of the variation in supply of materials and labour that affects pricing depending on dates and lead times.

+ The costs provided when quoting are guide prices based upon what we anticipate the  time, labour and materials to be during the project which is based on previous experience, industry accounts and on typical processes, plus client co-operation in provision of decision making, meeting deadlines and fast approvals. Within reason, additional charges may be payable if there are significant variations to the original scope of work or project brief, although the client would be made aware of any additional costs well in advance of approval and can chat with us to avoid further costs if necessary. Charges are unlikely to deviate from those quoted unless requirements change significantly, however, it has become more common within the construction industry due to Covid-19 and Brexit supply chain issues.

+ No work will commence until Camden Mews Construction Co. has received written approval of the quotation (by hand or by email) and the deposits paid where required. Invoicing will be carried out at 25% increments of each individual trade. This ensures that Camden Mews Construction Co. is fully equipped to provide the very highest levels of service and expertise, from project inception through to completion. High value items will require 50% deposit in order to activate the order. Remaining 75% and 100% claim would be issued as work is completed. 

Example: Kitchen and Glass orders require a 50% deposit to place the order. Then remaining balance invoiced accordingly. 

+ Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payments are due 14 days from invoice date. Failure to make payments within the time frame may result in delays in project delivery or your project will be subject to reimbursement costs of materials used until full payment is made. Materials remain the property of Camden Mews Construction Co. until 100% payment of the area has been received. 

+ If a quotation has been provided where a job will be approached in ‘stages’, each stage will need to be paid in full on completion of each stage, before Camden Mews Construction Co. is able to progress to the next stage. Where a job has been quoted in two halves (initial 50% deposit and final 50% balance) the balance of payment may be charged in full either on completion of the project or over a number of further staged payments at the discretion of Camden Mews Construction Co.

+ If any project exceeds the estimated timeline agreed or extends beyond twelve weeks from approval of quotation (whichever occurs first), Camden Mews Construction Co. reserves the right to invoice 25% of any outstanding balance, with the remainder payable on completion.

+ Unless otherwise stated above or previously agreed in writing, all invoices are due within fourteen days of any invoice date. Please note the points above and how this could have an impact on time scales.

+ Any anticipated completion date provided by Camden Mews Construction Co. is subject to options chosen and client co-operation in provision of information, resources, design decisions and approval. Camden Mews Construction Co. will do its very best to ensure that agreed timelines are adhered to, but please be aware that circumstances, amends requested, unmade decisions or additional requirements may potentially result in delays. Timelines provided are estimated, but Camden Mews Construction Co. will not be held liable if the project over-runs due to delays caused by the client missing decision deadlines or approval dates, third party supply delays/issues or force majeure (act of God).

+ During the build process unknowns will require solutions that are unplanned and un-costed. As standard we would contact clients with outline costs for approval so work can continue. Where possible we will provide full costs but where time is limited we will ask for written approval of a revised scheme or payment structure. Delays forced upon Camden Mews Construction Co. may be chargeable if other planned works are affected. 

+ Costs provided allow for meetings at key stages for a reasonable length of time between Camden Mews Construction Co and the client, if you wish to have specific meetings included please make us aware of this before your quote. Some meetings may incur additional charges for time spent, although the client would be made aware of this in advance and would agree before anything is begun.

+ Unless otherwise specified, costs quoted exclude the following where relevant: VAT; couriers; other third-party costs incurred (such as merchant bank and payment gateway charges) etc.

+ Camden Mews Construction Co. recommends that clients use our preferred suppliers to provide competitive quotations and to ensure that a high quality and service is maintained until delivery of the final project. We always seek a number of quotations from our trusted suppliers and relations and provide a complete management service: from sourcing, labour to materials and architects, that will be supplied in writing for approval if required. Although clients are not contract-bound to use Camden Mews Construction Co. to provide this service, it is highly recommended for quality control and peace of mind. If a client prefers to use their own supplier at any point, Camden Mews Construction Co. will do their best to manage and work alongside them but cannot be held liable for issues, incorrect implementation or delays resulting to that supplier.

+ Until payment is received in full, all outstanding material costs that have been covered by Camden Mews Construction Co. are lawfully owned by Camden Mews Construction Co.

+ This agreement is subject to appropriate credit and acknowledgment appearing for any photography of the project that has been agreed to and Camden Mews Construction Co.’s right to use the photography for self promotion in its portfolio, in presentations, in advertising, in print, on social media and online.

+ Camden Mews Construction Co will never knowingly infringe any copyright or trademark. 

+ Camden Mews Construction Co. will not at any time or in any manner, either directly or indirectly, use for our personal benefit or divulge, disclose or communicate in any manner any information that is proprietary to the client. We will act reasonably to protect such information and treat it as strictly confidential.

+ The client agrees to indemnify Camden Mews Construction Co. and keep Camden Mews Construction Co. indemnified and hold Camden Mews Construction Co. harmless from and against any claims, actions, proceedings, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses suffered or incurred in relation to work or services provided. Camden Mews Construction Co. is not liable for any loss that may occur before, during or after the development of projects undertaken. Camden Mews Construction Co. will not be held responsible for any delays, errors or losses arising from any third party.

+ The client agrees to alert Camden Mews Construction Co. in writing to any defects or problems in relation to work and services provided, within 60 days of the final invoice date. Camden Mews Construction Co. will not be liable for any claims made after this period if it has not been notified.

+ Appropriate credit and acknowledgment of final project results would be appreciated (tagging on social media) and may be referenced and used for Camden Mews Construction Co’s promotional purposes unless otherwise (in exceptional circumstances) prearranged with the client.

+ These terms and conditions of business supersede any previous versions and apply to all present and future projects unless otherwise agreed in writing. Camden Mews Construction Co. reserves the right to change or modify these terms at any stage with immediate effect. By agreeing to these terms, your statutory rights are not affected.
